Had these sat around for ages waiting to be based. They are pretty well the last of the Soviets that came with my big purchase last year. I've touched them up a little and weathered them and based them.

Two battalions of T-62s and some BTR-70s - I think Smile

Pics in the usual place on my blog.

Very nice. I really like the T-62s. Simple castings, yet very crisp with a certain detail.Approve

Andy

I think that those are Skytrex BTR60PBs! No significant difference in games terms though!

I ahd a feeling they were 60s. I think someone mentioned it a while back. There's 9 of them so they're a BTR battalion now! Smile

You need 3-4 more - 1 for AT-4/5, 1 for AGL, and 1 for SA-7

Ian,

yes, I know I need a few more. I've got some others that I'm not sure are BTR70s that I can use. Then I'll order a few from Skytrex to make up the numbers.

foxbot, there is no such things as 'a lot of armour' when we're taking about Soviets!

Nother problem - should be 3 to 1 BTR to Tank !, BTR in MR Rgt only.

Nice work. Those miniatures miniatures look really good. What did you use for the bases? And what size are they? 30mm x 50mm?

No only 1-2 - you can take a tank btn from the Div Tank Rt or independant Corp rgt.

Ian,
I've got another bag of T62s for that!

Anyway, I'm not really buying more Micro armour until I've sorted what I have and sold off the surplus to pay for it..

Bases... 40x20 mdf from East Riding Miniatures. Base material is model railway ballast. I have fine, medium and coarse with larger mixes of the latter sizes the bigger the miniatures get.

I went 40x20 originally because....I had a lot of them lying around waiting to be used for DBMM! In retrospect I think I would have gone for 50x30 as it gives me more base to play with. Maybe I'll do another army at that size to compare...

I ain't rebasing my Russians! Smile
