I got this from Amazon recently, and I've really been enjoying it. I'm not especially widely read in terms of military history, but of the handful of firsthand accounts I've read from WWII, this is the best I've found so far at discussing the operational level considerations and challenges.
It's well written, and though plain spoken it's not dry reading. I recommend it, definitely!
After this: Irwin Rommel's "Infantry Attacks", so that at our next North Africa game I can growl, "You magnificent bat$tatrd! I READ YOUR BOOK!"
(gotta love George C. Scott....)
