I read a novel back in the mid-1980s about the exploits of a British tank crew in the Western Desert. Must have been early war as they were in an A9. The tank commander was called Hoskins. That's about the only detail I remember.

Anyone remember the name of the book? I've tried over the years, but just can't think of it.
