Very interesting - shatters all of the leftist Guardian reading tripe* about the war which has been so long accepted. Boers are basically really really bad - murderous, racist, white flag abusing, dum-dum using, bayonet-shy, undisciplined simpletons who were duped into the war (of Boer aggression) by Paul Kruger (who thought the world was flat!).
Brits were caught unawares (since they had no plans for war) and still fought brilliantly (most of the time).
Just get it - it's a real eye opener!
