The South Notts Hussars, The Western Desert 1940 - 1942, by Peter Hart, Pena and Sword publishing
ISBN 978 1 84884 403 2

Just finished this. I think it's a superb study of a British Arty. unit in the North African campaign. They arrive equipped for 18/25 pdrs for Op. Compass, are besieged in Tobruk, take part in the Op. Crusader relief and are then virtually wiped out at Gazala. It's almost 75% first hand accounts - just a paragraph at a time - so it's very "punchy". Packed full of gems - they have a surprising level of contempt for the Italians in 1940 and it also reveals their use of AOP towers in Tobruk to see into the German rear as well as their AOP vehicles - great for BKC AOP bases.
