Written by Ewen Southby-Tailyour, commander of the Task Force Landing Squadron and all round navigation master during the conflict, it details British actions to keep Argentina from acquiring Exocets on the black market and 3 planned special forces actions by the SAS and SBS. I'm just over a third of the way through it but the general gist of it seems to be that Operation Mikado, the plan to land 2 Hercules full of SAS into Rio Grande base to attack the Etendards carrying Exocets, was a fool's errand right from the start with little hope of success. Which doesn't stop me getting ideas for a bit of skirmish action... |
