I've just written a scenario for the lads based on the action at the third escarpment at Sidi Rezeg on the afternoon of 21st November 1941. I have relied heavily on the following book:

The Sidi Sidi Rezeg Battles 1941 by Agar-Hamilton and Turner

This is the book I turn to first for all things Operation Crusader. It is a fantastic book and possibly the best, and most useful, military history book I own.

It deals with Operation Crusader in considerable detail. The maps are just stunning for this theatre (in most other books the maps are just too general). The extensive use of unit war diaries gives pretty accurate troop dispositions, down to company / battery level in a lot of cases.

The chapters are subdivided into nice chunks of narrative that allow you to easily keep track of what is going on, even when things get really complicated (and Operation Crusader does get complicated at times). The book is a big one, 500+ pages, packed with detail, well written an just glorious to behold...blah, blah, absolutely superb! If you want to war game Operation Crusader, get this book.

Because of the nature of the scenario I've written, I can't divulge too much (start playing tonight) - but, as as soon as I can I'll be posting it on my blog and I'll come back and post a link.
