Hi all, i,m collecting troops for the Warsaw motorised brigade for '39 . The poles had 2 motorised brigades The Warsaw and the 10th black bde. . The Arny list only allows 3 trucks and only for gun transport .. I,m not suggesting putting all the poles in trucks . But maybe increase the limit and not just for guns . Hope you can help. Phil

My reading would indicate that you could indeed put all the Poles in trucks for these 2 formations. They were the exception to the rule for Polish forces, being designed as motorised formations.

Truck types would be the Praga 6x4, Chevrolet 3ton 4x2 and the PF-621 4x2, with various versions of the Lazik 'jeep' forming light transport.

Hi Keith, I,m thinking giving the poles 18 trucks . The maximum number of veteran infantry the poles can have . Is 9 bases . allowing for support weapons , at guns Mmg,s another 9 . One unusual vehicle the poles used was a motor - tachanka . A Lazik jeep mtd Mmg ,. Allowing to fire from the back of the vehicle.. Phil

I wargame in 15mm. To save on models I generally allow larger trucks (i.e. 3 tonners like the PF-621 and Praga etc) to carry 2 bases. After all, if a Lazik can carry one base, those big trucks should be able to carry more. Just a thought.

Hi Pete , can I have a decision on the polish transport. The 39' German list allows the Germans 50 trucks. But we know some Germans walked. How' bout giving the poles 30 trucks . It gives the polish army more mobility in scenario ,s like withdraw and pursuit. Agree with you Keith the medium trucks (Opel blitz, deuce 1/2, Bedford , lancia ). Should carry 2 bases . Cheers. Hi Keith , I Like that rule . The points stay the same , stand load doubles but also the risk of losing more stands doubles also . A double edge sword . Cheers Phil
