A few months ago, I took out a bag of Woodland Scenics trees, bent their branches, glued them to their bases, stuck them on a penny, and dipped them in clump foliage. Here's the result photographed as a night attack:

Assuming you mean my bocage, I have a large plastic container. I've thrown a mix of large and small size flock into it. I shake the mix so the large clumps float to the top to give my hedges a bit more of a shaggy look.

I cover my hedge gloopily with white glue. I don't go for 100% coverage because it looks better with a bit of the dark green showing through. I turn it upside down and press it into my flock mix. I move it back and forth a bit so that no glue is exposed. I pull it up and shake and tap off the excess.

Not quite. I have this stuff called clump foliage. Basically, it came as a big square and you rip of chunks of varying sizes. I think it's the same stuff as the flock but not broken down into flock.

I ripped up the clump foliage into odd sized chunks (some big, some small). I then applied gel-style superglue sort of randomly to the armature. I then basically stuck bits of clump onto the armature. Sometimes I had to rip some more clump to get the right size and shape.

The one thing I did try to do fairly often is put clump on both sides of a branch so that the branch is in the middle rather than just on one side.
