hi guys,

what terrain reduction in speed for normal snow covered terrain. i get heavy snow you need to delineate areas for movement.

any feedback appreciated.

I'd hand wave it - treat it as normal if you assume a side can deal adequately with it (e.g. Russians in GPW or Finns in 1940), apply a -1 CV penalty if an order includes movement if they can't (e.g. Russians in 1940, Germans early on in GPW).

on page 19 of both cold war commander and blitzkrieg commander the terrain rules for frozen ground cover the effects of snow on movement.

so a t-34 and kv-1 ignores the -1 command penalty
