Rather than a general discusion on solo play, here is a specific question, how do you manage the Scheduled Phase?
No one is going to move his panzers into a field if he knows it due for an air strike that turn. I just miss out this phase altogether when playing solo so, is there a way to do it?

the only way to do it is to tell one harf of your brain that its ok to move that turn, and then when its the other side of your brain's turn bring on your air strike.Silly

if it was me i would miss it out, its the same with scheduled art, you would avoid the area that you have picked for the art to land in.

the only other thing to do is to is to break down the table into smaller parts, i.e if you have a 6ftx4ft table mark area's on the table or a map showing 12"x12" or smaller then ( if you are useing a 6ft x 4ft table you would have 24 x 12" area's then roll dice to see what 12" area has the attack comming into it). you could make it harf the table that is the target area so it would be 12 x 12" area's. 3ft along the long side then 4ft across the short end. or something like this, im sure someone will come along and make this a bit more simpleWink

Why not have multiple areas marked for schedule and only choose of they're 'real' when you move in to them?

I,ve been toying with this idea:- dice each turn in sched phase, on a 6, a strike is due. This can be delayed or cancelled as normal. Pick any spot on the table then shake D6 and arrow dice, the aiming point is now placed at the d6 score X 10 cms in direction of arrow. Now work out as normal. Problem with this kind of solution is that it takes away any skill and becomes just luck, a lot of on table art can make up for the artillery but that still leaves the air strikes out in the cold.Sad
