Hi guys / Pete

Was thinking about making an iron fist armoured legion army and noticed that you can only have 1 super heavy per 1000 pts. Is this right as almost all the units are super heavy, unless you bring artillery, you can only choose the single light or single heavy tank type to make up numbers.

Also many of the super heavies while tough or no tougher than many other lists heavy tanks and cost equivalent.

Any guidance from the forum?

This reminds me - where did the superheavies from the Iron Fist come from to begin with? They were cool-looking in the rulebook, and always wondered - I couldn't find them anywhere.

They were a small garage producer of (almost exclusively?) GW style super heavies with a few smaller tanks; I don't think they're still trading unless they've changed name?

Well, that's a bummer. But then, I guess it's little different from what I do with 3mm vehicles and 6mm superheavies. As for the OP, (apologies for the sidetrack) were I you I'd gauge it based on the intended OPFOR, and consider ditching the minimum requirement, as it makes little sense with a force based on superheavy armor almost exclusively. Consider something to buff an intended opponent, though, or give them plenty of force to counter you, or it'll be a rollover. And, although it's a legitimate "real" tactic to now down your enemy with overwhelming force, it's not much fun as a game.
