Hi there!

I´m thinking about use the Auto-Suppresion rule in all cases, not only during an air strike. It will keep book keeping to a minimum and speed up the game.
To make more difficult to kill units, making biger the distance you can fall back whithout being knocked out (perhaps 20cm).

What do you think, will it change the game or it´s a good idea?

I think it would change the game dramatically. Balance of power would be shifted towards hordes of cheap low attack value units since they could engage more targets at once and so potentially cause widescale suppression. Plus it would remove the usefulness of cover at avoiding suppression.

What's the aim of the rule? Speeding the game up? Making units easier/harder to kill?
You're aware "auto-suppression" assumes the troops have ZERO combat experience. Nil. Basically the stereotypical nerd...but with a gun.
You could include it as a house rule at purchase (-5pt perhaps?) to reflect the troops are even greener than Green. But seems a bit much to assume your veteran power-armoured infantry in heavy cover run shit scared for cover when a wooden (literally!) arrow from the rebel primitive colonials goes "ding" on their battle worn armor
Another approach is to use static hits if that's what you're aiming for.
