Following the "Battle of the Little Bughorn" game (reports from others to follow - no doubt) - it seemed to me that we have an obvious omission in the lists (no ... you don't say!).

It seems to me we that we need a Star Ship Trooper:Film version of a Terran Federation Mobile Infantry list to fight the SST Bug (Arachnid) list.

However it looks to be a pretty 1 dimensional list:
Command
1 x CO (10) & few HO (CV8) + FAC/FAO (CV8)
(no Recce as this lot seem incapable of using them!)
hordes of Colonial Infantry: 10F 4/30, 3, 4L, 5 types
a few dropships (with area defense fire options)
some off-table artillery or maybe just Orbital Bombardments

and ....

that's about all I can think of ... other than some psy-corp 'funnies'.
To remain true to the film we could add in some auto-turret defenses & blast-wall type walls.

If we stray into the follow-on US TV series we get some battle suits and armoured walkers etc - but I'm thinking that this is probably to start to stray from the 'pure path'.

Any thoughts folks?
Huh?

Could have the Recce as Elite Pathfinders with Neo-Dogs (not sure what effects the dogs would have - maybe an enhanced bug detection ability - sensing the bugs Tunnelling maybe?

Could also add some Chicken walkers (armoured light walkers) that look a lot like the ones from Star Wars or the GW Imperial Guard Sentinels.

Think i might be clustching at straws here!

Thanks Dave

Useful (yes) but this is the follow-on TV series (& computer game spin off) - based on a S.I.C.O.N world union & 'Razaks Roughnecks' which takes the original film idea & morphs it (with a nod towards the original Heinlein concept) so you have things like the MI in power armour etc.

I was looking to keep Terran Federation Mobile Infantry list (v.1) to the original cheesy film concept. A 'vintage' list
Wink
But a v.2 list with the power suits, walkers etc would be also be good.

NB: I'd probably make the Sentry Guns, Expendables and also Support Troops as they have no Assault Value anyway.
They'd still cost 10pts a piece either way.
