This is where I'm not so happy with FWC. In BKC/CWC it doesn't matter aa much as there's an element of actual real world in it, ie this might actually have happened in Sinai 1967 sort of thing.

But in Sci-FF I want furious action!
We tried FWC for real the other day (yeah, it took a while) with IC troops SAC vs CDSU.
Normal doctrine with CV9 vs rigid doctrine and CV8.
Hm, right. Rigid. One better break point, right? And (effective) CV9 if the same order. Blimey, missed the part of +1 to CV.
That aside the CDSU never really got a shot of and SAC got several salvoes in each turn. Not a happy sight for the Chinese.
Someone said to limit that number of actions (especially shooting) to max three per turn. Might be a good idea Pete?

I wouldn't limit - it's an interference with the core mechanic & therefore you're at risk of losing the uniqueness of the system...

Mind you, with my command rolls being as they are, I'm pretty self-limiting anyway Cool

I agree with Nik – leave the system alone. It ain’t broke and it don’t need fixin’!

Looked at in vacuo, the AAR on blacksmith’s blog would be a damning indictment of any game. However, I’ve never played in a Commander series game with anything like that degree of inactivity (though, to be fair, the nature of random number generation being what it is these things can happen) and blacksmith would be bloody unlucky to encounter the same again.

The problem with that scenario is the Orks and their low CV in Commands and FAOs. Playing with Orks or similar is quite easy the same situation repeats again.
Orks and mobile deployment just don't go well together.

Perhaps some sort of minimum action? Half a move or shooting with a -2 or whatever?

I know blacksmith's pain. I've tried mobile deployment with Red Guard a couple of times...

...I don't try that anymore. Static deployment all the way for me now Smile
