I agree about the 8 moves v 12 thing as well. Ours came to a natural conclusion at 8 moves and both the attacking players had made a big effort to actually attack

Yeah, I think the 8 moves thing would be better,without my "3 command blunders in 7 turns " debacle it could've been over even more quickly, and also make me take more risks, inviting casualties. Being allowed the time to form up my infantry and armour and maximise firepower just spelt disaster for the Marines
