Commander (CONFIDENTIAL)

This is a Confidential Communication to you each specifically.
Your reply must not be shared with other deCom commanders or externally. Contract Penalties will be applied if this or any other clauses are breached.

You will provide a fully detailed Embarkation Manifest to Mandrake Corp. no later than 15th May.
Your force cannot exceed 1,250pts (with 10% Tech variances) but no 5% overspend
Your force cannot include 'Bug' armies ... if in doubt contact your Mandrake Corporate Exec.
Vanilla/BattleGroup lists only can be used and Command 'pimping' is unacceptable
Your force must not include any 'Proscribed Technology' as per the UNP Contract Document (full briefing document to be uploaded shortly).
In the event that your standard army list includes proscribed technology, you must decommission this, reducing the points value of the assets concerned accordingly. However, it is our strong advice that you choose a force that does not require you to do this
Your force will need to include Infantry on foot, as it will be necessary for them to enter buildings for clearance patrols and undertake other engineering tasks
Due to the high levels of contamination in the New Hok 'Uncleared', all infantry will rapidly become contaminated and need to be decontaminated within protective vehicles. Infantry elements can withstand 3 consecutive periods of contamination before they become fully suppressed for a period and then die. Infantry with up to 3 contamination markers take one full period to recover. Any suppressed infantry can embark into a protective vehicle they are in contact with (as their only action) but will take 2 periods to recover.
Armoured Infantry can remain outside of vehicles for 1 period longer than standard infantry
Protective Vehicles can take the form of IFVs, APCs, Transports or Tanks and Walkers with carrying capacity
Bikes, Buggies and Light Walkers are considered as vehicles in this context (even if they are designated as 'infantry' in your manifest).
Radiation Markers will be required to allow you to track the contamination levels of your troops
The following assets are prohibited due to space limitations in the Mandrake Space Transport vessel:
Artillery (on or off-table)
Orbital Strikes
Massives
Hover Gunships
Biological Walkers (as they will be as effected by the contamination the same as other 'infantry')

Your Mandrake Corp Executive will check your manifest and offer corrective suggestions ahead of embarkation, but any last minute changes or late or incorrect manifests might mean that some of your assets are refused boarding rights.

Ultimately, the composition of your 'deCom' crew is your own responsibility - Mimints are known to come in a variety of shapes and sizes and will require you to be equipped to deal with heavily armoured targets as well as swarms of smaller mimints - be prepared!

All 'deCom' teams will be supplied (by Mandrake Corp) with a Detection Vehicle - this acts like a standard Recce asset but also contains a 'command-head' which will allow you to detect 'mimint' activity. You have a responsibility to return this vehicle undamaged. Contract Penalties will apply if this is not the case. This Detection Vehicle also carries any specific and specialized equipment you might require to complete engineering or objective activity.
Your force may include a maximum of 2 other Recce assets, which may be used to triangulate mimint ambushes.

All 'deCom' crews will be assigned an additional reconstruction activity. This will be specified individually to each team and will generate contract bonuses if successfully completed
Cleared buildings or structures must be tagged as 'Clean' - tagging markers will be supplied

Each 'deCom' crew must keep a record of all Mimint 'kills' - a tracking chart will be supplied - along with a Contract bounty points list for the different types of Mimints.

'deCom' crews may co-operate with each other, and bounty points may be split between crews by agreement.
Recce spotting 'hidden' co-ordinates may be used for direct fire by other troops for one turn only.

Command CV may be boosted by communication with multiple recce units up to a maximum of + three or CV=11, whichever is more restrictive.

Shields may be recharged by a Command order, or using an initiative action.

Single buildings block LOS/LOF unless unit is adjacent to terrain boundary
No vehicle movement inside single buildings, except non-massive walkers
No vehicle movement of any kind inside bunkers (this includes Bike, Buggies and Walkers)
Normal BUA LOS rules for infantry units within single building models

Contact by Return to indicate you have received this message

If any of the above is unclear - do not hesitate - contact Mandrake Corp. immediately

NB: a 'period' as specified above is in effect a full game turn

Best of luck commander

Your Mandrake Corporate Executive ("making New Hok safe for a New Century" )

Thanks Al

And that was all before the real deCom work had begun!Grin

Which reminds me ... I lent Steve my Woken Furies book at last years event. Now I know it had small text and complicated sentances, but I hope he's finished it by now!
