Having lost my few Epic Landspeeders somewhere in the loft/office/previous house moves/eaten by greyhounds/take your pick 'cos ai don't know, does anyone have some good ideas for proxies at a less unreasonable price than £12.50 for five that Workshop are asking?!

Something light hover/grav speeder, preferably with a GW ish grim dark gothic-y style rather than high tech & shiny...

Any suggestions?

Do they have a secondhand section on the website? Was having a look at their site and there isn't one I could find, nor any Epic scale at all...

I may give them a bell if that's the best course or just cruise the B&B's and second hand traders at the shows as and when I go...

Ah ha, just in the nick of time I got five off of Ebay at a not unreasonable price incl. P&P. Should have bid on both auctions that were up, might have got a bit cheaper but hey.

Less than 90p each for an OOP model whose replacement goes for £2.50 each is acceptable even to my frugal, northern soul Smile

Just to add annoyance though I then spotted the Chinese Grav-scout in the Brigade Models web store (http://www.brigademodels.co.uk/6mmSF/CDSU/SF300... which would also be perfect. Think I'll pick up a few of those to use as the more heavily armed variants of the craft...

I'm also impressed with their French Montsabre tank , as its hull form is very close to the Trepida Grav-Tank from Traveller - I'm leaning towards the Gloire SPG version as it's got the most similar ish (to me) turret, and the same stubby ish look to the gun (http://www.brigademodels.co.uk/6mmSF/EuroFed/SF... Smile

Few of those, some with turrets removed & replaced by a little 'IFV style' one for the Astrid IFVs, a pack of GZGs' UNSC troopers for 'clamshell' style battledress helmt/armour and a couple of Adlers rather nice air/rafts for, well, air/rafts, and I feel the beginning of a new army coming on Grin

Nice!
Like the Giap Grav Scout Vehicle. Can definitely be used for the Landspeeder. Has the look that could replace the enclosed Tempest variant and at £0.75 each much more appealing to the pocket.
Sounds like you have the makings of a very punchy force.
Good luck toxicpixie.

Yeah, I thought the Giap was pretty much spot on for the enclosed Landspeeders. Will make a good distinctive visual difference on table so I don't have to keep going "Errrrr is that one the Tempest, or is it an ordinary one or a..." every turn Smile

Of course that probably means they'll get mercilessly picked on Grin
