Inspired by a flick through a recent Osprey, I was inspired to try a boardgame called "Warlords , China in Disarray" (it come down from the wardobe occasionally). I couldn't help thinking what a good campaign it would make ,anyone got any thoughts on the period (it's a long one , mid.WW1 to the Cold War)?

I looked at this a while ago as a possible area for future games. A lack of Pendraken Chinese for the period put pay to it thoughSad. However, the SCW lists, Chinese lists etc would make a great starting point for this though. Keep us posted.

At my local pound shop got a couple of dvds parts of a triology, called Axis of War although very jingoistic as they were produced by the chinese official film company, although
works of fiction they do give some idea of the politics of china prior to the revolution and more important who was fighting who

I bought some Irregular 15mm Chinese from their civil war range to make an army for a fictional intervetnion in Russian Civil war with little adaptation of BKC.

I was thinking irregular miniatures too, they've got a Civil War/WW2 Chinese range, but for the earlier (1916-1937) stuff their Russo-Japanese War range could be handy(and the FT17s and Armoured cars from the WW1 range).I was thinking of relating the points available to the size of the armies in the Board Game. If you use boardgames as a campaign background, Brian Train's "Arriba Espana" is a good one as well(for SCW obviously).
