Hello folks!

I'm 99% sure I'm going to purchase this rule set. But, I had a question about the combat rules.

I'm also purchasing Command Decision Test of Battle and I know those rules are more complex than BKC2, but, I was wondering if anyone here has added any "house rules" to the combat portion to make it a little more complex?

CD:TofB seems a tad too in-depth for me, but BCK2 seems a little too light in regards to afv vs afv fighting....correct me if I'm wrong here.

thanks!

If you dig through the house rules section you may find what you are looking for, there is a far bit in there.

What level of detail do you want? BKC tracks hits each turn, and whether or not a stand is suppressed but doesn't look at ammo supply, ammo types, damage to individual tanks or components. Basically a stand is either fine, has taken hits but is still capable of fighting effectively, is suppressed and not functional but will recover if left alone, or is dead Smile

AFVs (and ATGs, and infantry AT weapons) have a range in cm's (20m's to the cm) and a number of dice for attacking. Each has a save value and tries to roll that to reduce hits taken, and a hits value that if reached/exceeded means its dead (rendered combat ineffective).

Does that help pin down what house rules/extras you might want?
