Hi all

Just a quickie. To get the bonus the Russian units have to be doing the same thing. If a unit in the formation is suppressed, or the commander decides not to order one or more of his units in the formation, do I lose the benefit of the bonus?

my logic is that the HQ chooses the units he wishes to command and as long as they are all doing the same thing the bonus is received?

What do you think?

IIRC suppressed units do not count

No choice - ALL must do the same thing to receive the bonus, except suppressed units.

Suppressed, dead, AA, soft transport & recce don't count towards the all doing the same thing, but every unit that was in the formation at game start must do the same thing to get the bonus.

Eg Hq plus six t-34 - all six t-34 must move if you want to get the +1 or all must fire. If you order three to move there no +1 even if you don't include the others in the order. Pete clarified this explicitly a couple of months back. I thought the same as you (that it's the "order group" formation that counts, not the "game start" formation) but was wrong!
