Not all mine, but these are things that came up from various BKC games at our club recently. Just after some definitive answers.

1. Can recce perform an assault action? (In particular, hunting out lone FAC's).

2. If infantry are in a ruined building (as opposed to an undamaged building or bunker) are they hit on 5's or 6's?

3. Command blunder where the command has to move away from the nearest enemy unit. Does an enemy command unit count if it's closest, or does it have to be the nearest "proper" unit? We rolled a dice to decide, but it'd be nice to know for the future.

Thanks

John

1. No and if they did, they wouldn't be able to assault a command unit

2. No difference

3. Nearest non-command unit

Thanks Pete - I'll let the chaps at the club know.

For #2, for me, it would depend on whether the infantry are dug in or not. For dug in, I'd say a 6 to hit, otherwise a 5-6.

as an add-on to this. On command blunder #3, the command unit must move 1/2 turn away from the nearest enemy unit. But at the end of the turn doesn't the commnand unit get to move? That would easily place him up with, if not ahead of, the leading units he just moved away from.Huh?

No, the command unit can't move at the end of the turn.

I have a related question: If a command blunder #3 sends the CO/HQ off the table, is the command unit knocked out?

On three, yes, and it's very annoying. Not quite as annoying as recoiling a whole formation off the board though!

Thanks. Yes, I had a badly needed formation enter the field, only to lose their CO the next turn. The game was lost at that point.
