Hi folks, hope you can help with this. Page 26 ,modifiers for requesting artillery support. "(-1)each successive request made by the Fao.this turn." What does this mean? Can I attempt more than one roll if I fail the first time. Making it harder to activate but increasing the chances of an artillery blunder. Am I on the right track. . Phil

No - if the first is SUCCESSFUL then you can make futher requests from that FAO.

ianS is right in that you can make further requests from that FAO,but only to a seperate artillery unit if you have another,not a repeat request to the original unit.

Got to refresh my memory. Artillery Support Units as written in Changes&Additions section (p136) should be treated like on-table artillery from the 1ed right? But do they take orders from FAO or from HQ? Do I have to treat them like any other on-table units, and give them few orders, or they still can fire only once due the fact that they are ART units?

Treat them as you would on table mortar units ie they get orders from a command unit not an FAO, they don't use a template, instead they target one unit, but they can be ordered multiple times in one turn.
