I think we use the T-26 with 37mm gun iirc. Given the granularity of stats for vehicles three hits, six save for sure, with 15 or 20cm move and a pretty duff but not unusable gun Smile

Having checked Chamberlain & Ellis and Profile Publications AFV series, I think the 45mm T-26 stats seem to fit the bill. The 3pdr QFSA gun is equivalent to 47mm. The AP was ok but the HE rather poor. Armour was poor and the speed variable due to a variety of factors.

So for me, I'm going with the T-26 stats until correctedGrin.

I'd stick with the 37mm stats - the 3pdr has only 2/3rds the muzzle velocity than the 45mm gun on the T-26, which is as good as (close enough) in real world and game stats to the 2pdr. The 2pdr was supposedly streets ahead of the earlier British ATGs so I'd try to keep it as "the best" - but then , it's fantasy so who am I to talk Grin

Might want to reduce the AP range though if the HE was bad - don't suppose you've any good source on it's effectiveness in the HE role? The original naval version was ok, but is it a lack of good ammo, a doctrine thing (tanks shoot tanks! Infantry is left to artillery!) or did they knacker the HE aspect to get better anti-armour?

I'll pass those on.

Suspect it applies to all.

Some good points there Toxic, so may consider the 37mm stats. At least it gives a good mix of armour. Re: the HE, all I have is that they fired sand filled shells to reduce barrel wear. IIRC the close support variants were meant to help out with HE and smoke.

Ahhh, that re-opens the seemingly never ending debate about British CS tanks. Did they ever actually get any HE even if they were actually supposed to ...

I'll stop there on that for the sake of my sanity, I can't go thru second hand lists of ammo issued to Troops again Grin

If only for "game feel" I'd go with the 37mm - otherwise the mighty 2pdr and the fearsome 45mm get a bit side tracked Wink

Yep, nice to be able to differentiate between the tanks, otherwise you end with with T-26s (45mm) in all but name running around the table.

We found the T-26 with 45mm a bit overpowering in a few games tbh! The A9 Cruiser should also be similar but for some reason they seem to brew up alarmingly often in comparison... I really must pair an base my Birch Gun, it promises to be very useful Smile
