After my latest game, I made the point that I needed to add some CS tanks to my British units so that they could use their HE against infantry. It was pointed out to me that most CS tanks only shot smoke, yet in BKCII they all have an AP stat of 3/80.

Checking Chamberlain & Ellis, the following is interesting:

A9CS, A10CS, A13CS - 3.7" Mortar (howitzer) - smoke only

Tetrarch CS, Churchill I, Matilda II CS, Crusader CS - 3" Howitizer - smoke and HE

So from the above, it would appear that the A9, A10 & A13 should have their AP stats removed.

I also noticed that A9 & A10 have an AT stat of 1/40? Could any one enlighten me on this?

I doubt that this far away from the origin of the original lists Steve that we'll ever know the logic.

But it will all hopefully get resolved u=in BKC IV

Having looked at the list stats Steve - on the A9/A10 & A13 they are only 1/40 to represent the MGs.

I think you might have the AP & AT stats all mixed up.

On page 59, it shows the A9 & A10 Support Tank Units having an AT stat of 1/40. Surely they should have none?

Ah - got it - I totally agree - it should be 0/40 as they can fire Smoke at that range. It is being picked up in BKCIV - thanks
