I agree excellent value for money, readily available at the local model shop and except for threading the hull through the mudguards very easy to assemble. I picked up the Opel Blitz, Gaz truck, 38t and Katusha. I've built the 38t but it still needs painting, the others I've yet to start on.

Yes I must try the truck models next - the Gaz and Opel. I really wanted to get some KV1's but they never seem to be in stock!

Never mind, plenty of other things to paint........

Tim,

Thanks for another useful review. does the kit really only include a single MG which is the type fitted to the rear and not have a shielded type for the front? Also how would you rate the instructions compared to those in the PSC kits which could be better and caused me some initial grief?

'Fraid so. That's the only armament included with the kit. I've only ever seen one picture of a 251 with this type of mount at the front - and this vehicle had one at both ends.

Their assembly instructions are on a par with PSC. Definitely room for improvement in both!

The first two versions (A and B) had the frontal mg without a protecing shield.

Did not realise that and it seems it was mounted as in this kit

I have obviously been influenced by the Matchbox kit Huh?

That is a yes and no answer, since the sheild was added retrosectivly. As in review think the main difference is to do with the engine cooling hatches. The earlier ones have open ones with armoured covers.
