Like it - I see what you mean. We are doing similar units.

There are no set base sizes in BKC2. The first edition had some suggestions which are on the forum somewhere.

I use the following

Infantry 30x30mm
FAO 30mm diameter
HQ 40mm diameter
CO large FoW base 64x51mm
Other units just get one that fits sizes of those in the photos as below

Churchill & Challenger 40x80mm (most medium tanks fit on 40x60)
Humber medium FoW base 51x32mm
6pdr 60x40mm
Universal Carrier base is cast on no idea what size off the top of my head

It is of course not necessary to base vehicles but I like to.

It is also fairly common to use Flames of War basing

For 10mm we use 50x25mm for infantry, reversed for vehicles, usually 30mm square for guns/support weapons (depending on size - might be larger!), 40 square for HQs and 50mm square for COs.

For 6mm everything is on 30mm square as that's what previous sets of rules were based for, except for newer HQ stands which I've based up on 40 or 50mm square. And some extras like recce or support weapons as I've added them Smile

Been a while since I last finished anything, these Brits and Germans were done about 6 months ago

Then it's a long wait until finishing this American CO for a recent speed build over at the Guild

Seems I have my mojo back but now focusing on Yanks rather than getting the Brits and Germans done.

Railway ballast, talus and static grass, quick easy and effective. Base itself pre cut MDF painted with craft paint.

Good work. I've got several of those Zvezda Opel Blitz trucks to put together. Hope they are straight forward to assemble!

Cheers, Andy
